For this section a subscription to a local newspaper/newsletter would be ideal, if not appropiate the Unison web site includes regional newpapers.
You will also need pictures to illustrate your report in the Fortnightly Class Newsletter. Download these from the Unison site, use a scanner to scan images from local newspaper/newsletter or take appropiate pictures with a digital camera.
Report your news story for inclusion in the class newsletter and as a script for your news report, using a word processor. Type at least 10 sentences, using your own words - don't use any word you cannot explain, if asked. Think of the people who will read your work when it is printed out. Only use words and sentences that they will understand. Include suitable pictures.
Finally prepare your news report for presentation to the whole class. Create maps, signs, and drawings to illustrate major points.
